Significance?

Alright, earlier I talked about Beitia’s Number, so now there is some important things to consider about it. First of all, 10 to the eighty-first power factorial is big. Really really really big. Take one million’s factorial, for example. (one million being 10 to the 6th power). You get 8.263931688 times 10 to the 5565788th power. That’s an eight with five and a half million zeros. Now since I obviously can’t calculate Beitia’s Number exactly, I had to play a least boundary game with myself. See, every time you raise the factorial number, once you’re in the millions, you are adding at least 6 more zeros. But there are ten million numbers between one million and ten million all being multiplied, so each of those adds six zeros (minimum). By multiplying that out you get an additional sixty-million zeros added to the five and a half million zeros already in 1,000,000!. Do this for every number up to 10 to the eight-first power, and you get an additional 98,765,432,098,765,432,098,765,432,098,765,432,098,765,432,098,765,432,098,765,432,098,765,432,098,760,000,000 zeros. Again, this is rounding to only the least number in the power order. So add the five and a half million zeros to this, and you have something of the order of obscene. So 10 to the eighty first power has 81 zeros. Its factorial has something to the effect of 10 to the 84th power number of zeros. (again, this is the least it could possibly be; it is certainly much greater than a googolplex).

So what is the significance? Beitia’s Number [referred to hereafter as BN] is useful in statistics. Since BN is the number of the combinations of all the particles in the known universe, the odds of the universe being exactly the way it is right now is 1:BN or really bad odds. Thus, when figuring probability, we have the worst case scenario. 1:BN now forms the worst case, lowest limiting odds. What are the odds that the particles in my body and those of the wall will line up in such a way as to allow me to walk through unscathed? I don’t know, but they’re better than 1:BN. See, you get the reasoning. It could be a source of hope for sports fans (Cub’s fans, Eagles fans, take hope!) It could help the downtrodden would be lover. (so she said she wouldn’t go out with you in a million years, your odds of living a million years are still better than 1:BN) No longer is anything impossible – we just set the bounds for its probability.

Stay tuned for the theological ramifications . . .
