More fun with the Natives
Lately, I have been trying to find new and different ways to irritate my co-workers. Since the computers where I work run on windows, and the control panels are not password protected or anything, one could, if one were so inclined, change the screen savers. Yesterday, before I left, I changed it to the “marquee” with the phrase “so-and-so is not a homosexual?” written backwards. So it flashed across the screen today, and all so-and-so could pick out was his own name written backwards. He kept bugging me to translate because, “it goes too fast.” I wouldn’t. Finally, about three p.m. today he got a piece of paper and wrote it down once, then reversed the letters, and proceeded to get angry. I laughed. This coupled with the use of this site to change the sounds on the computer [think creatively] can make a boring day, well, slightly less suicidal.

Here’s another fun thing to subject the natives to: take a print-screen of a co-worker’s desktop. Then use the print-screen as the desktop background. Finish by hiding all icons and the start bar. Watch the person ineffectually click and double click the desktop. See how long it takes the person to figure it out. If they ever do.

Sounds like a blast, but I really don’t think it would go over that well. But since I’m the only person in my department on Saturdays, I could do that for Monday morning, when I show up three hours after the place opens. I wonder what kind of mess there would be then.
